How to add your SyncFlow chatbot to Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, GoDaddy, and Google Sites
Your SyncFlow chatbot installs with a single snippet of code, and the same snippet works on every site builder. The only thing that changes is where you paste it. This guide walks through each of the major builders.
Where to get your snippet
- Open your SyncFlow dashboard.
- Click your domain in the sidebar.
- Go to Settings.
- Find the Code snippet section and click the copy icon.
Each site gets its own snippet, so copy it from the domain you're installing on.
Before you start
- Your site must be served over HTTPS. Every builder below does this by default.
- The widget positions itself in the bottom-right corner (an 80×80 launcher that opens to about 550×786), so you don't need a container div.
- Paste the snippet once per site. Pasting it twice gives you two launchers.
- Most builders don't run custom code in the editor preview, so check your published site.
Wix
- In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced → Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code and paste your snippet.
- Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages and select Load code once.
- Under Place Code in, choose Body - end.
- Click Apply.
Wix requires a premium plan with a connected domain for custom code.
Squarespace
- Go to Website → Pages → Website Tools → Code Injection.
- Paste your snippet into the Footer box.
- Click Save. This applies to the whole site.
If you only want the chat on one page, add a Code block to that page instead. Scripts require a Core or Business plan or higher.
Shopify
- Go to Online Store → Themes, click the ⋯ menu, then Edit code.
- Open
layout/theme.liquid. - Paste your snippet just before
</body>. - Click Save.
Alternatively, in the theme customizer choose Add section → Custom Liquid to add it on specific pages. If you switch themes later, you'll need to paste the snippet again.
WordPress
The most reliable route is the WPCode (Insert Headers and Footers) plugin:
- Install and activate WPCode.
- Open its header and footer settings.
- Paste your snippet into the Footer box and save.
To add it to a single page, use a Custom HTML block instead. We don't recommend editing footer.php in the theme editor, because theme updates overwrite your change. On WordPress.com, you need a plan that allows plugins and custom scripts.
Webflow
- Open Site settings → Custom code.
- Paste your snippet into the Footer code box.
- Click Save, then Publish your site.
For a single page, use Page settings → Before </body> tag instead. Custom code requires a paid site plan.
GoDaddy Website Builder
- Click Edit site and choose Add section.
- Search for "HTML" and add the section.
- Paste your snippet into the custom code box and click Done.
- Publish your site.
GoDaddy renders this section inside a framed box, so the chat lives inside that section instead of floating over the whole page. Make the section tall enough for the chat to open, and add it to each page where you want it.
Google Sites
- In the new Google Sites, open the Insert panel and choose Embed.
- Switch to the Embed code tab and paste your snippet.
- Click Next, then Insert.
- Drag the box to at least about 600 × 850 px. A full-width section works best.
- Publish your site.
A few things to know:
- Google Sites sandboxes embeds in their own frame, so the chat opens inside that box and doesn't float across the site.
- There's no site-wide custom code, so add the embed to each page where you want the chat, or to a dedicated "Chat with us" page.
- Another option is a Button that links to your SyncFlow hosted page.
Troubleshooting
- The launcher doesn't show up. Check the published site rather than the editor preview, confirm your plan supports custom code, and make sure you pasted the snippet in full, including the
<script>tags. - You see two launchers. The snippet was pasted twice. Remove one copy.
- The chat is cut off. On GoDaddy and Google Sites, make the embed box bigger.
